New album from Chris Reed, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry frontman

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

New album from Chris Reed, Red Lorry Yellow Lorry frontman
Chris wrote:Chris Reed here.

I've got a new solo album out - MINIMALANIMAL.

This stripped down sound is raw and minimal. It's different, but if you like Red Lorry Yellow Lorry you should love this record and will hear the thread that connects it.

Yeah, I just love all those Lorries albums with acoustic guitars being strummed all the way through.

The Lorries played The Cockpit in Leeds a few years back. I have 'fond' memories of making a complete drunken cnut of myself in front of Chris (well it was my birthday).

Has anyone actually heard the Chris Reed album yet??? I'm sort of tempted, was a massive Lorries fan.... it's just the idea of something like "Open Up" being played with minimal acoustic type stuff gives me the heebiejeebies!!

Yeah I got a copy....for any real Lorries fans its worth getting. I was a bit unsure about the idea of it, but he does seem to pull it off... my kind of chill out music but with the added bite of The Lorries

I have a copy too. I like it- it reminds me very much of Tindersticks. And I love Tindersticks!!!
