Silver Bullet Forum trimming

For you to give feedback to the Heartland moderators. Wish lists, fault reports, etc. You may get an answer, you may not. As in all things, it largely depends on how nicely you ask the people in charge... You're welcome.

Before heading away for a few days, I am up to trimming out some stuff from the forum of 2006 tours. What I am willing to do is (a) split the audio/video thread into separate threads of audio and video poss, and (b) trim out out dated or redundant threads (like extra tickets available for gigs which have passed). Any objections?

There was some discussion to split the 2006 threads between hotel/meeting/venue/etc information before the gig and reviews/impressions after the gig. Take a look at the Novarock thread(s) to see what you think. http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=10397 If worth it, more can be split. Feedback anyone?

ahh, very true.

indeed, there are some gig threads where the social aspect surrounding the gig is as important as the gig info itself, in setting scenes and giving the thing context. leeds, glasgow and paris are 3 good examples of this.

if it helps at all, i dont think petseri is talking of a wholesale cull... we've discussed it already and i can assure everyone that he's going to use his best judgement in what can safely be deleted as being "waffle" and what's actually relevant and useful 8)

thanks for taking this on, pesteri. to be honest, its not a job i was looking forward to - there's a lot of threads to wade through :urff:

gawd, you lot can waffle ;D  :notworthy:

Actually, I was not going to delete any posts within the gig threads. Rather, I was going to split them into two threads so that the review portions of the gigs can be highlighted and found easier.
