Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

is it my personal problem that old posts have wrong dates (i. e. - all seems to be written in November)?

Nope...not your own problem.
it was all a bit too hard for Quiffles and it all went a bit tits up - which is why I presume the dates all go to Nov rather then their original dates

oooh yer all so harsh to Mr Quiff...
However, the other day I did see a posting that was sent on 31st December 1969...
That, I have to say, does prove that we are all, in fact, taking part in a time travel experiment mastered by PROFESSOR Quiff from the 13th Century...
...or summat...
Now, if the internet HAD been available on the last day of the 1960s...just how WOULD things be different???

The internet was available then, on a very basic level.
It started with ARPAnet in October 1969. This was created by the US military and communicated between Stanford research institute and University of California.
