Didn't last too long, but the site gave a constant Error 500 for at least 5 minutes.

HTTP 500 is an internal server error and given that PHP lets scripts fail gracefully (i.e. Outputting meaningful error messages), it's probably a host problem and not anything that Quiffy could have resolved :|
