What song should there be a 2007 version of???

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

They did it with body electric, temple of love and alice, so if the girls were to re-hash/re-mix/re-record any song, what would it be???

my choice is Some Kind Of Stranger.
Not as good as Motorhead, but better than The Birthday Party, which makes us pretty damn good.

I like the reversions of Body Electric they played in 2001 and Lucretia in 2002, maybe one of those?

I could say Adrenochrome but I know it won't happen, so I'll go with Floorshow instead.

Like that would happen.

My first thought too. I reckoned this song was crap until I heard live versions - it has so much potential that wasn't captured in the original recording.

I'd also love to hear a new studio version of On The Wire / Teachers. :notworthy:

Ain't that a stonking version? :notworthy:

Rawk version galore! Even got it as a ringtone now ;D

Only thing that's letting the song down a bit is, sadly to say, Andrew's mumbling :| His hi'pitched "face in the fire in the reptile house" would be nice on this heavy live version...

can't wait for that, i still think that your chill out version of 1959 is better than original (rly!).

What song needs a 2007 revamp?

Floorshow. 8)

The only recent version I have is Crystal Palace 1993... which seriously suffers from technical faults (no bass, lead guitar comes in strong then cuts out) but :von: and the Gals still manage to rock it out! :notworthy:

I also like to hear other Sisters classics rarely heard... Teachers-Adrenochrome, Good Things, Body Electric (slow). ;D

I'd prefer to see some more signs of an active and living band - would be better than more updated old classics.
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
