it does handle gmt, but its not automatic - i have to update it myself... and i forgot :D

but then even if i did update it, your own profile settoings till override the board;s settings, so you have to do as markfiend says...

happily, the new version of the board software (phpbb3) seems to handle thus much better, so i am hoping to move over to that once it's officially released - i've already been trialling the 'release candidate 3' and its looks pretty slick - and the upgrade on my test system went without a hitch! 8)
