The Currently Being Pissed Off By 8 - don't even THINK about it thread seems to be miscounting the number of posts - it seems to think that there's one more post than there really is (which occasionally makes it give a link for a final page with no posts on it).

yeah, its wierd. it does that from time to time when posts have been deleted in the middle of a long thread...

thats part of the reason why i zap that at 1000 posts - less room for error :)

i'll have a look. ta :)

Can we leave the Photographs thread to be over 1000, though? I don't wanna see all those lost.

I think that's a good plan. It's a nice one to browse through but if it seems that even the locked thread is going to cause grief it can still be removed/trimmed/eaten or whatever in the future so you've got all your options open...
