THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

A question about Wayne's comments on a m*****n album but clearly Sisters related
I've just bought The m*****n Live at the BBC recordings
, and reading the insert, Wayne states that he would love to have played a Peel session with the m*****n & that although the Sisters did play 'a' Peel session that was long before he joined. Trouble is the Sisters played two Peel session and one of them was in 1984 with Wayne.

Just wondered if there was a story behind this, has Wayne lost his memory, or was he ill at the time, or does it not matter?
Anyway, any light that can be shed would be appreciated. Cheers

Verrrrry interesting.
Maybe he just forgot. It was 24 and a half years ago...

Maybe, but wasn't just a passing comment. He builds up to it, the first half of the CD insert is dedicated to his childhood listening to Peel sessions & his dissapointment that he never got to play a session for the great man of alt radio.
Or maybe he didn't write it, the lazy bugger

I think the story is that they recorded the session (with Radcliffe) but never met the man?

You're right, Paul. I think a lot of Sisters like the m*****n, too. At least I do and I saw the last 2 shows at Shepheards Bush nearly 1 year ago and the last show was f***ing brilliant!

Yes, I remember Serpents Kiss making Peels Festive 50 in 1986 & the great man being a bit dismissive of it's entry.
I think he said something like
"Surprised to see that, I would have thought it was more Janice (Long) than me"
Give me one good reason
