Post any bug reports here... it all seems ok since the move, but you never know what obscure feature that only gets used once a year might be broke

one bug i do know about is that you cannot upload images to the gallery at the moment...
it seems like the tool needed to create thumbnails on-the-fly (imagemagick) isn't installed by default.
the good news is that as it's my server i can install it
the bad news is that i will need some help, so it might take a few days
not to worry. at least the forum itself is working

have sorted the image gallery uploads now
for some reason the old server was using ImageMagick to to create thumbnails from the large uploaded pictures, but the new server didn't have that installed
after a bit of digging i realised that i didn't need to use ImageMagick but instead could use the built in GD libraries... a quick config change later and it works
has anyone noticed any bugs, quirks or generally unusual behaviour with the forum since last night?

don't worry though - when i upgrade the forum software to the new version of phpBB it will all go tits-up. guaranteed
maybe it's of a little consolation for you that, overnight, I've re-linked 128 pages in the Wiki
from that disappeared Dominion/Mother Russia side to the Domionion disambiguation side

so, it's been a few days since the server move...
how's everyone finding it? does it still seem faster? more stable? has anyone noticed any quirks, strange behaviour or unexplained downtime?

I've noticed something. What happened to all the "edit" buttons that used to be next to the "quote" buttons in for example General Chat?
Aren't we allowed to "edit" anymore? Cripes.

the rule is that you cannot edit posts older than a certain time period (might be 15 mins or something...i forget)
it was introduced to stop people from going back and editing very old posts in order to claim they hadn't said certain things, when we all knew they had

oh okay! hadn't noticed it then. at least we get a few minutes to check our posts or just preview before submitting. clever.Quiff Boy wrote:that's been like that for a few months...MadameButterfly wrote:I've noticed something. anyone know what time it actually went down? (i was at lunch!)
Well I've got a fly in my kitchen that's quite annoying. Is that the sort of thing you're after?
Any more of that and we'll be round your front door with the quick-setting whitewash and the shaved monkey.
