Thought they got off to a good start but after three or four songs they seemed to lose interest in playing.miprs4 wrote: They sucked....
I saw them supporting Grinderman a couple of years ago... They were much better
Thank God!miprs4 wrote:They sucked....radiojamaica wrote:How was Suicide? I need to ken

Yeah, but on the other hand, seeing Suicide live and they don't suck... now that's not good eitherchristophe wrote:Thank God!miprs4 wrote:They sucked....radiojamaica wrote:How was Suicide? I need to ken

if you would have said it was magnificent, great, good or even just okay I would have regretted not coming over forever

I was there for Monday's show and would say thats pretty accurate. I went for a pint before Vega reached the mental part of Frankie Teardrop, its hard enough to listen to on record.Erudite wrote:Thought they got off to a good start but after three or four songs they seemed to lose interest in playing.miprs4 wrote: They sucked....

Indeed!Mothra wrote: Gig of the year so far, I don't expect it to be beaten.
Agree, they were fierce, and the sound was brilliant! Iggys voice was very good too.Mothra wrote:Iggy & The Stooges however were stunning. Williamson was like thunder, Iggy was Iggy and Steve Mackay added an extra wash of sound to every song. Gig of the year so far, I don't expect it to be beaten.
I take it you went on Sunday then? My ears are still hurting from Suicide. Seemed they turned the volume down a bit on Monday (or I was still numb then).bangles wrote:totally amazing gig!
Thought suicide were excellent - vega just couldn't give a flying monky's and just roared incoherently around dropping the mix when the boredom got too much! And he ambled like ozzy osbourne! The noise of them where we were was just pummelling! Half the seats around us had their ears covered! (just to clarify - it was the people in the seats - not the seats themselves!
The Stooges were far better than I expected - didn't think Williamson would live up to Ron's onslaught but he definately got stuck in there!!! Still miss you though Ron...
