A legend has passed away who I was lucky enough to see at Leicester Square Theatre last August for the recording of Richard Herring's podcast.
There can't have been more than fifty there and it felt like a privilege at the time, now even more so.

Some examples of him being brilliant - https://isihac.net/barry-cryer/

Do have a listen to the RHLSTP podcast as well, I defy you not to laugh.

I didn't know he existed, but yes, he was clearly brilliant ... ... so, RIP and condolences to the many and the close who definitely miss him.

Mega long career and not a bad word about him from anyone.

They would always interview Barry Cryer on television whenever any famous old school comic died. The news report I saw about his sad demise featured no one. Sad.

I saw elsewhere:

If you've seen anything on British TV in the past 60 years that made you laugh, chances are it was at least partly written by Barry Cryer.
