Incident in '84?

Afterhours talks about having to get dressed and get out of dodge because the cops are coming, then on FALAA there's several cryptic references to alibis and evidence and impending reckoning. I seem to remember ages ago reading an interview about the Body and Soul EP where said that Afterhours was about an incident that happened in New York. I also remember him later being asked about the "methedrine" line in LMR and him saying that he got offered meth once in NYC years back and next thing he knew a week had passed and he hadn't slept or noticed. Is it known what exactly this incident was that involved police?

Hmm the alibis and evidence and impending reckonings in FALAA never felt, to me, to be references to actual criminal/legal incidents. They struck me more as "One day he/she/they will find out who/what I really am". Not sure I buy the connection.

Afterhours and A Rock & A Hard Place are two different events, at two different times, with two different people.

Afterhours was a drug-fuelled night in a hotel in 1983; the other person was probably Patricia Morrison (who played in the Gun Club at the time, and we can be certain that whatever Von was up to, JLP was worse).

ARAAHP was in 1984 and with Jenny Foster (verified in Wayne's book) and to be honest reads like a one-night stand more than anything else.

Von has made several references to a week passing in various anecdotes; one in just describing Afterhours, once again in reference to his Mexico trip in 1985. We do need to keep his tendency to self-mythologize in mind here too.

I'm well aware of how much Von and the others liked their speed. It's kind of impossible not to know lol. I was more wondering if like, I dunno, they were hanging out with a heroin junkie who OD'd and died around them or something. Or maybe something else bad happened after too many nights without sleep. Maybe someone did something they'd live to regret. I wasn't referring to the drug use itself as being the incident–as far as I can tell, that would make most of Andy's life from 80-87 an "incident." I guess I didn't communicate that clearly
