If Andrew decided to record another Sisters album, what musical direction do you think he would take? Do you think he would start from where he left off, meaning that the songs would sound like Vision Thing? If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Under The Gun, Temple Of Love and Alice the last songs he recorded as The Sisters Of Mercy? Hmm wasn't "Alice (1993)" the last song he ever recorded, as it was recorded for the Under The Gun single? It's hard to say what musical direction he would take for a new Sisters album. He's been co-producing some Die Krupps stuff... enough said there.
I think that if there's ever a new Sisters album, it will be a combination of Floodland and Vision Thing, combined with some electronica. But who knows...
You thoughts?

Hmm... there is of course "We are the same, Susanne" and "Summer". Isn't "Dream" a new song too? These songs sound more like Vision Thing than Floodland.

@ eric
i think that's just the live incarnations of them, some of the floodland stuff can sound pretty 'balls out rock 'n' roll' on a good day!

The times change, everything changes (that's my bit of wisdom for today)
Probably more like Vision Thing if the new songs are any indicator. That said, Von claims they only play the stonking tracks live, so what the rest sounds like is anybody's guess.
I've long since thought the only way forward for the Sisters is to release an Indie single or two. That way he can prove the band is still cabable of "shifting units" (or not), which just might entice a major label to stump up the sort of cash he's after.

Pity we will never hear it.
Paddy.
The law of diminishing concert returns states Eldritch will eventually need to find another means of paying the rent.
