Evening all.



went to an unsigned band night at a club called Satan's Hollow in Manchester on Sunday. 7 bands played, some good, some bad. so what? You might ask.
Well, each band was introduced by a rather camp goth woman dressed in full comedy gothic 'vampire' garb, and brandishing a whip. She said her name was Rosie something-or-other.

Anyway, after the gig, as me and my posse staggered out into the streets, my mate, whose a bit of a goth authority, told me that the woman used to be in the March Violets.

I dunno much about the MVs except the Sisters connection, I just thought some of you might find it interesting that one of their original members has turned up hosting rock nights in scumchester. she certainly looked about the right age- late 30s.

BTW, the lady in the photo MIGHT NOT BE Rosie Garland- it could be her replacement, Cleo. Hey, don't shoot me etc.

Yeah, I thought it might have been common knowledge. thought I'd mention it anyway, since one sisters site I was on recently basically said that she was a missing person.

as far as i know she still runs a fetish night in manchester. the wiplash club, or something like that. not seen any flyers for it out and about for a while, so maybe its closed down now?

used to see her out and about in manc from time to time too - usually at "sin city". bumped into her while watching the jezebels at whitby last year too.

she also guest dj's from time to time on "the miss jinny show" - a small local radio station based in manc. i think they have podcasts of their shows if anyone wants to hear it. seen a flyer for it and IIRC its "alternative, industrial, ebm & goth" or something similar...

Rosie was in (ahem)... The News of the World on sunday... not my copy I hasten to add! Twas about the strange stalking business....

she seems to have been keeping a low profile around manchester recently - certainly she hasnt been to sin city for a while, and i dont know whats happened to the fetish night she runs - not seen any flyers for that for a while

last time i spoke to her she said something about her stalker appealing against her charge... if she's been released then can't say i blame her for laying low

According to that reliable source the News of the World, the stalker's appeal failed.
