THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
That's a great list, Andymackem. I would say Lucretia, Nine While Nine, Lights, Floorshow, Ribbons, We are the Same Suzanne, Some Kind of Stranger, On the Wire, Driven Like the Snow and Adrenochrome. There, that's exactly ten slices of perfection.

1-8 are great choice(s)!
I'd add in no particular order of importance: I Was Wrong (probably not liked by many), Flood II, Body Electric (original version, don't like the 84 version much), Knocking On Heaven's Door RAH version, and naturally the Reptile House EP as a whole is still my favourite!
lights
afterhours

amphetamine logic
flood II
alice
nine while nine
floorshow
on the wire
kiss the carpet
... with heartland, possession, some kind of stranger and flood I all jostling for promotion into the top ten (depending on what time of day it is or what's in my bloodstream)
Alice
Floorshow
Lights
Temple Of Love 83
Body Electric 84
Marian
Amphetamine Logic
Some Kind Of Stranger
Dominion/ Mother Russia
Lucretia
This Corrosion
Something Fast
More
The rest are OK, but I wouldn't spend too much time defending them in an argument.
And you know that she's half crazy but that's why you want to be there.
Ribbons
Driven Like the Snow
Blood Money
Sandstorm
Flood II
This Corrosion
Dominion/Mother Russia

I like almost every song for some sorth of reason.
some of them for the lyrics other for the music and other becaus they are so damn good
my favorite....
- Floorshow - Logic - some kind of stranger - Lucretia - Ribbons - Something fast -Heartland - Good things
and
Temple of love - home of the hit man.
Crash and Burn - You could be the one
and last but not least Emma
it was the first song from the sisters I heard, and for years it was the only one I liked.
when I finaly started to listen to the records I forgot about it and I don't like comparing it to the other songs. they have a difrent Vibe.
and something I think alot of other heartlanders may feel as well, it is (exept for alice) the only SoM song what gets played over here (party's and on the radio ) over the years it has builld up a reputation.
I like the song, not the reputation. if you unerstand what I try to say.
Lights
Some Kind of Stranger
Heartland
FALAA
Ribbons
Temple of Love (Touched version)
Floorshow
This Corrosion
Adrenochrome
Flood 2
Torch
Under the Gun (I actually only like the 2nd half of that song, when Eldritch really gets going)
Ok, so that's 12. I couldn't narrow it down to 10. Valentine almost made it in there.
I would have done something, but I was overwhelmed by a lack of concern.
1 - Flood II (Dark -xmas in London version)
2 - Never land
3 - Nine While Nine
4 - Some kind of stranger
5 - Alice (1993 - has a better bas line)
6 - Under the Gun (Metropolis Mix)
7 - Driven like the snow (for one moment in my life I fully understood the complete lyrics)
8 - Torch
9 - Rock and A Hard Place
10 - Marian
11 - Valentine (Sooooooooo pure this song, I LOVE IT !!!)
12 - Wide Receiver (I can play this song over and over, and not get bored)
I was quite impressed until I hit the floor,.....Isn’t that what friends are for ?
1. Some Kind of Stranger always
2. Marian (Version) always
3. Suzanne/Romeo Down they switch off and are newish, so count as one
4. 1959
5. Nine While Nine
6. Lights/Kiss the Carpet Next to each other on SGWBM so they're one on here
7. The 3 A's: Alice/Anaconda/Adrenochrome good for driving to and good for me; count as one because I say so
8. Body Electric makes me wanna walk on the ceiling
9. Giving Ground Live--never heard it on Gift or the like
10. On the Wire/Teachers Live

flood ii
romeo down
valentine
anaconda
teachers/adrenochrome

probably
What’s the difference between a buffalo and a bison?
I can't be arsed with a long list - because it's practically all of them - but at the moment Floorshow is sexy Von at his sexiest. It'll be different tomorrow, maybe.

i hear you sister. i hear you.
i really should get back downstairs and finishing watching that wake dvd... at least its a dvd on pause and not a vhs so the tape isn't goign to stretch
but even just sat here at the keyboard i've now decided that SKOS/comfortably numb, the 12" of lucretia, and the live cover of "bei mir bist du schone" are the best thing since sliced bread
*sigh*
just toooooo many good songs :0
