check the BBC Site, the Dr has quit......
speaking from personal experience, i would say the the latteremilystrange wrote:Question.. is it better to have been the Doctor, or the Son of God?
He's changed into eleven different actors (I had an arguement about this earlier - it IS eleven.... just THINK about it, yeah?).emilystrange wrote:*ahem*, sorry, distracted.
i think the doctor has more freedom.. although he can't perform miracles.
Eleven? There's the original 7, then McGann & Ecclestone, that makes nine. Then Peter Cushing from the two movies, that's ten. Who's the 11th? (Didn't Rowan Atkinson play the Doctor in some cruddy comic relief special. Sorry, you're not having that as the 11th!)d00mw0lf wrote:He's changed into eleven different actors (I had an arguement about this earlier - it IS eleven.... just THINK about it, yeah?).emilystrange wrote:*ahem*, sorry, distracted.

The actor who played the prosecutor in one of Tom Baker's series (where he's on trial), I thought he was the evil incarnation?Dan wrote:Eleven? I'm counting the valeyard (whose name i STILL can't be bothered to look up....) because he *was* technically the doc. (albeit in many generation's time...)
Of course, you could always go with ye olde rumour that the master is also a future regeneration of the doctor. But we all know that's rubbish.
They're brothers.... everyone knows that....

And the Valeyard was played by Michael Jayston.
God I love the tinterweb!
There was footage of all the docs (IIRC) at various times - they went through all his "misdeeds" from every regeneration at some point. Was looking for the vidieo earlier and it's not where I left itBig Si wrote:d00mw0lf wrote:it was Colin Baker - not Tom...

So it was! I got mixed up because i'm sure someone mentioned Tom Baker being on trial for a whole series
(Hang on! Wasn't it footage of Tom, but Colin in the dock?)
Is this including the stand-in for Hartnell for the episode(s) filmed after he died? I remember The Four Faces Of Doctor Who and I'm sure there was another episode featureing the first 5 doctors.d00mw0lf wrote:He's changed into eleven different actors (I had an arguement about this earlier - it IS eleven.... just THINK about it, yeah?).emilystrange wrote:*ahem*, sorry, distracted.

That would be "The Five Doctors" then!Andrew S wrote:Is this including the stand-in for Hartnell for the episode(s) filmed after he died? I remember The Four Faces Of Doctor Who and I'm sure there was another episode featureing the first 5 doctors.
And Richard E Grant?Eleven? There's the original 7, then McGann & Ecclestone, that makes nine. Then Peter Cushing from the two movies, that's ten. Who's the 11th? (Didn't Rowan Atkinson play the Doctor in some cruddy comic relief special. Sorry, you're not having that as the 11th!)
I agree EruditeErudite wrote:Still think it's a bit poor jumping ship after only one series for fear of type casting.
Fair enough - I'll see you on the Blake's 7 thread...James Blast wrote:I agree EruditeErudite wrote:Still think it's a bit poor jumping ship after only one series for fear of type casting.
