but then i havent heard a cover of the sisters that i do like.
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

Well, yeah, but lambchop's is (to me) the best cover of anything ever anyway... So, that would be a bit hard, isn't it ...hallucienate wrote:it's better than most covers of the sisters, but not as good as lambchop's

It's good, but it doesn't have the same ambient atmosphere I get from the original version.
Why did you cut out the woodwind solo? That was my favourite part of the original song, it hits me in the back of the neck every time.

i'm not a fan of the original but your cover was NOT too bad actually.
my favorite covered sisters song is lucretia by dan swanö.
it's raw and heavy. and his voice sounds pretty good too.

I liked the guitars. I quite liked the voice, judging from the other tracks anyway, but not so much on this track for some reason. The backing vocals on All Souls Rising were very nice, though, and would sound interesting on Torch too.

To be honest I didn't like it much.
Sorry.
I like covers which do something to the tune rather than essentially recreate it just by different people. S Club Seven's Don't Stop Moving was magnificently covered by The Beautiful South, Emma by some band or other etc, this version of Torch doesn't move me.
Rock it up!
