One was chasing my mother's elbow earlier.

Other than that, I've not seen any.

Wasps? Most of them seem to be in my f**king flat.

I've had about 5 or 6 of the stripey little visitors in the past few days, including one I found lying dead on the floor, and another I was quick/brave/stupid enough to catch with the old glass & sheet of paper routine.

It's been an average year for wasps, the queens will now be thinking about hibernating and will have left the nests, the workers have nothing much to do but wait to die  ,angry little bastards they are at this time of year and will sting for very little reason  .

Didn't I read somewhere earlier in the year than when we had the cold snap (June?) a lot of them were killed off as it was their hatching season? :?:

But for anyone missing the little stripey b@stards, the waste bins either side of the chippy on Hunstanton prom still play host to a cast of thousands of the things. :x

It's always a tricky dilemma; do I starve? or I do I find out if I really am suspectible to anaphylactic shock?

Plus, I think the owner is missing out on a big marketing opportunity. Stick cod and epinephrine injection on the menu and he'd be quids in.

 Now see, bees, I love :notworthy: . If a bumble bee decided it wanted to bumble into my living room, and stay there, I would open a window and try to usher it out but if it wanted it could live the rest of its days in my house, occasionally popping over to buzz in my ear about what's on the news etc.

WASPS, on the other hand - well, they're all at my window, Alfred Hitchcock style. Why they just hover for ages at the glass is beyond me - maybe they can see themselves in it or something. Otherwise they're just stupid. I've never been stung, so I don't know if I'd get that apocalyptic shock thing... but I have no desire whatsoever to find out. :urff:

There goes my nature knowledge credibility

Anyway, I don't mind any of those flying thingies, as long as they don't sting and don't make noise :von:
