Where to unload some Sisters collectibles

Have you established a good reputation at HL and got some Sisters stuff to sell or trade with the community? Or are you searching for that elusive ultra rare live bootleg from 1988? Ever had a bad experience with a trader on Ebay? Let us all know here. Outdated threads will be purged over time.

Hello all-
I stumbled across this site whilst searching for a place to unload some old Sisters stuff I've had kicking around. I'd like advice on where to sell the stuff (can I do that on here or is trading the only thing allowed?) and how much some things might be worth. Just a couple of items:

*Sisters Zippo in black chrome from the Reptile House (unused)
*Dominion cassette box with insert (insert folded from original packaging) (mint aside from insert fold)
*Life Book with 3" CD (Decent condition. Not trashed but not new)

I'm not looking to screw anyone, but I'm not looking to get screwed either. Realistic ideas of value are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Michael D.

Yeah, I gathered that from reading posts before I registered. But the real question is

"What's it worth?"

Anyone care to chime in?

It's seriously worth sticking on eBay.

just out of curiosity is the zippo screen printed or does it have the head/star soldered on? (i'm assuming it's got the head/star logo).
Well I was handsome and I was strong

"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

This is the original Reptile House Zippo, finished in midnight chrome with the head&star logo embossed in the Zippo itself.

Ahh yes, how convenient. Now I don't need to race home and take a picture. Yes, that one exactly.

One sold on eBay a while back for about £30 (what's that in US$? About $45?) but it's a steal at that price. I was really pîssed off that I missed it.

I don't recall exactly how much I paid for it, but it seems like it was about US$80 and I know when I was ordering a lot of stuff from the Reptile House the exchange rate was about 1.55... so I'd guess it was ~50 Quid.

According to the RH 1994 merchandise list, the UK prices were:

Brushed Chrome: £16
Midnight Chrome: £18
U.S. Sterling Silver: £99

European mainland and RoW prices are also listed. Being a non-smoker I didn't get one, but I wish I'd kept hold of the promotional flyer.

Ha! Shows how lousy my memory is. I would've purchased it a couple of years before that, but I'm sure the prices were similar. I apologize for inadvertantly misrepresenting the merchandise. Heh.

Oops! :innocent: As the subject cropped up here recently, I just thought I'd mention it. I thought about bidding myself but as I don't smoke and the smell of lighter fuel almost makes me lose my dinner, I wasn't quite tempted enough. Anyway, happy bidding!

Feck. We're all going to end up fighting over it now. :|

Although, as I already have a few Zippos (although no Sisters Zippo) I may make a strategic withdrawal. I ought really be saving up for Christmas presents.
