Well the remaster is louder than the original CD, the extra bits in Giving Ground were interesting, the abrupt cut offs were annoying. The overall sound is clearer. The "Slight Case" tracks all say they are 2018 Remaster versions.

It would be nice to have a version of the Damage Done that actually sounds like the original, not the heavily compressed muffled version that is on SGWBM.

I have a Zoom H1 that i use for capturing live recordings (gig and rehearsals) and it does a really good job. I got mine for $99. It runs off a single AA and the battery usually lasts for about 5hrs of recording. Takes a Micro SD card.

I've been listening to Scenes quite a lot recently and I was wondering; does anyone have a rip of the Purity EP and a rip of The Desert Song EP?

I've never heard the first one and the rip I have of The Desert Song is from my 12" which has nice pops and scratches on it.

I called Music Direct. Apparently the Silver Series are remasters of the best quality source they can find of the original release, not necessarily the master tapes, so you're probably right Pat.

Also by phoning I got the shipping reduced to a reasonable amount as well which was nice!
