The band was actually from Leamington Spa, as we were all at Warwick University at the time, but because our first two releases were produced by Pete Kember (Sonic Boom) from Spacemen 3 (and he lives in Rugby), we were lumped in with the then "Rugby Scene", which included Spacemen 3 and Darkside - there were others but I don't recall.

The record company wanted Sonic Boom to produce, and as we were big fans it was great choice. In retrospect, I guess we were responsible for dragging Pete out of retirement - 'Recurring' had just come out and S3 had recently split. Because we were recording at VHF Studios in Coventry, we persuaded Pete to play Coventry Poly with us supporting (Jason showed up at that gig...). He then went on to form Spectrum (with our drummer), and we were support on the first Spectrum UK tour (with our drummer therefore playing two gigs a night).

Actually, of the two Mish songs I've heard (Wasteland, Tower Of Strength), it sounded quite good.
Ghostie songs are good too, but I wish I'd realised Gathering Dust was all covers before I downloaded it..
