THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
It's occurred to me that there are quite a few readily available (ie NOT obscure b-sides) Sisters tracks which are never played live, or even discussed. This seems strange to me, for a band with a slim body of work and a great many obsessive fans (ie us lot )
I've personally always had a soft spot for 'Never Land' and 'Torch'. in fact, they are definately two of my favourite Sisters songs.
I can hear words in it sometimes too. It's like the back-masking Judas Priest thing though; the human brain is very good at picking out patterns... even when there's no pattern to pick out. Like the audio equivalent to a Rorshach ink-blot
The fundamental cause of the trouble is that in the modern world the stupid are cocksure while the intelligent are full of doubt.

Yeah, they may have been played live a few times many moons ago, but they have now been kinda forgotten about by Von and his cronies (that's what I meant when I called them 'neglected').
the version of Neverland (a fragment) on the Smoke And Mirrors at The Forum DVD is a killer
"And when you start to think about death, you start to think about what's after it. And then you start hoping there is a God. For me, it's a frightening thought to go nowhere".

hal's site is way more useful for that sort of stuff than the tours site... not that the tours site isnt bloody good, but hal's motives are different so his archive is more complete.
