Best duets

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Atleast on of the best duets that come to my mind right now has to be Placebo and David Bowie on the song "Without you Im nothing" :notworthy: :notworthy:

And ofcourse the couple in the band Low :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Nick Cave and Shane McGowan - What a wonderful world. (And the alternative b-sides - "...and the Bad Seeds" version of Rainy Night in Soho 8) )

Morrissey and Siuxxuiuxuoouie (Can't spell her name) - Interlude

I know some people probably hate this song, but I think their distinctive voices compliment each other beautifully

Love the song, too

I always thought the Placebo/Bowie WYIN was a bit weak. I prefer the album version with just Placebo. The Placebo/Bowie cover of 20th Century Boy is much cooler. :notworthy:

Also on the duets-that-didn't-quite-make-it list the crappy Moz/Siouxsie single.

I like the PJ Harvey/Thom Yorke duet on "Stories from the City..."is cool, but my favourite has to be PJ Harvey and Bjork covering Satisfaction :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

(they also duet on at least two other songs "Reptile" and "Scary Monsters", which can be found on the "Children Of The Night" NIN bootleg.)

i think we already had a topic "best cover" but since i didn't put my message there i make it here (sorry, it's quite late here and maybe my tired brains have forgotten something extremely cool):

Sisters "Gimme Shelter"
Sisters "Jolene"
Sisters "Confide In Me"
Sisters "Bei Mir Bist Du Schön"
Leather Nun "Gimme Gimme Gimme (chopper mix)"
Laibach "Life Is Life"
Laibach - all the album "Let It Be" with beatles songs
Siouxsie "Passenger"
Siouxsie "Hall Of Mirrors"
Balanescu Quartet - Kraftwerk covers
Alien Sex Fiend "Satisfaction"
and so on... and so on... maybe i'll add something later -- it's time to say good night, my friends :)

I think she also did a few more songs on the last JAMC album, but I never really got into it so I can't comment on them. Sometimes Always is one of my favs.
