Err Why? 625 Lines is Standard for UK pal at a refresh rate of 50Hz (25 fps) where as NTSC is 525 Lines at 60 HZ (30 fps)

That's right, but take a closer look at the vhs standard specs.

...just recognized that little mistake on the label (common vhs can't fit more than ~250 lines). Sorry - maybe I spent too much time in video editing stuff ;D

you are talking about resolution, rather than the default standard which is what would be written on the side of a box, and Yes I play with Digi Beta, DVCam, UMatic, Beta Sp all the time in my job to :)

we talk about the tape
and VCD got no restrictions, as i know

That becomes philosophic
well, those cassettes could be special_TV_VHS_tapes, holding more lines than usual VHS
A kind of hd-vhs is born  ....ok, rather not
Beside that, I don't know any tv/media standards without restrictions.

Maybe, that "tech-talk" goes a bit offtopic - sorry :urff:

They were sold from a certain Leeds shop for £10 each. I suspect the guy made them himself. The More video contained the More video 4 times (the 3rd version had a dropout in the middle  ).
