NIN - Hurt

Crap song when performed 95-2000. But during Trent's rehab, he obviously heard JC's version.

The debut performance on the With Teeth tour (audio, Fresno, 23March05) is controlled emotion (but makes me weep). The debut visual (Philly, 18May05) when Trent is more relaxed (and weeps during his own performance) just adds to the emotion (and makes me weep). :blush:

Oh, and "I'll Be Yours" by Placebo. :cry:

Thinking about it, yupp. they still work, let´s jump ahead to the special moments.
Walking home massively pished from the final celebrations of my school, singing (Or better burping and howling) A Night Like This by Cure.
While my schoolmates lay in about every available bush, unable to walk but braying Tote Hosen songs.
A moment with VNV Nation´s Carbon. I was driving a car transporter, a 7,5 ton wreck that would have fitted into a Mad Max movie, over the A3, Germany´s most frequented motorway, at about half past two in the morning. The street was dead silent, me the only one driving, the landscape pitchblack, only moon and stars.. A gooseskin-moment I´ll never forget!
(Thinking about it, distorted guitars and a heavy Bassline would fit that song.. ;D)
That car transporter had a cute powerfull radio with nicely powerfull speakers. After driving for over 15 hours in a go it played Alice a bit louder (to stay awake..). At that moment I overtook a US Army Truck near Frankfurt Airport. The driver, a blacky, looked over to me and nodded along to Alice´s rythm, grinning widely..
I had the windows closed and those Army trucks are loud.. :innocent: ;D
A few friendly gestures, and I was past him.

Marian on the channel ferry to Ramsgate at 1:30 in the morning.
And countless more with Sisters songs..
First piano chords of Black Planet in a fullmoon summer night..

But of course, everyone has different emotions related to songs

Last night I was watching the Pink Floyd live in Pompei dvd and the second part of A Saucerful of Secrets is so beautiful... Every time I hear that song, tears well up...

Same thing happens when I listen to Wish you were here, Hurt by Johnny Cash, I care by Derrick Harriott,
Atmosphere and about a hundred soul tunes... Too soft, but never enough.
