How many gigs have you seen?....

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

Records yeap, and this motherfucker called Andrew Eldritch : the way he has managed his career (and his "friends") is exemplary. To be able to sacrify everything for the band, that's great :notworthy:

I thought the 2006 was the better of the 2 - the 2003 is one of the worst I've ever seen.. Guess it all depends on where you are watching from :?
After Dam 2003 I had a buzz/ringing in my ears for the next week. Anybody else have the same? (Probably due to the s**t sound during Sulphur)

Just over 100, I think actually. First Brussels gig was numero 100 and don't think he made it to all others after that? (don't even think there were 50 left)

A Brief History Of The Hom's Sisters Gig Attendance

17/02/91 Leeds -
A near-religious experience. Seeing :von: take his shades off when you're 20 is really something.
Note: I was sick after the gig in a very attractive students bathroom in the halls of residence.

25/08/91 Reading Festival -
Shoulder pads and The Whole World In His Hands.

30/03/03 Amsterdam -
Lost track of time and reality and missed the gig.

02/05/06 London Astroria -
Again fate transpired against me....thank the lord.

03/05/03 Leeds -
A great day out, marred only by a couple of hours at the Uni.

No, numero 150! His 100th was a few years ago now I think. Speedy Dave's been touring on a regular basis since the 80s and I think he's done almost as many dates as the band :notworthy:
