I bought a factory sealed copy of the 1988 CD a couple of years ago. It's the German release ("Manufactured in Germany"), I didn't know there was a UK one.
Obviously it could've been re-sealed to add to the price but as far as I could tell it was in mint condition.
Up until about a year ago you could still buy the 1992 copy of F&L&A in HMV and the like, I think it's been deleted now due to the Rhino reissue but there's probably still a few lurking around (you can still buy the jewelcase versions of Floodland and Vision Thing - none of them are sealed and range from £10-£15 - but I doubt whether they're still being pressed, shops are just selling the last of their stock), I'll check next time I'm in Oxford Street (it's definitely not in my two local HMVs).
I bought my copy of the 1992 release (digitally remastered) back in 2004, ah my first Sisters buy

It's also the German release, again I didn't know there was a UK version.
I know it's been asked (by me) many times but just to finally clarify. Is the 1988 CD simply a CD version of the Japanese vinyl, therefore a CD version of all the Japanese mixes, and the 1992 release a remaster of the 1988 CD?
EDIT - Just checked
this site, looks like the answer is 'yes'

.
That site also says that there was a "remastered" version released (240 616-2) in Germany (not the 1988 or 1992 CD). According to Discogs it was released in 1986 (

Surely that's wrong?
