Ok, so I think I get the main gist of these lyrics but anyone got anyhting to say about it meaning-wise?

About the slide of society, dumbing downs of ideals, that sort of thing mixed with a bit of T.S Elliot referencing and the like. I remember reading in one of Mick Mercer's books someone reckoning it was about witches and covens...mostly because it mentions pagans at one point.
