I was at a sisters tribute/cover-band concert yesterday:
http://www.youtube.com/user/DocSommer
(recent videos - I'll probably upload some more)
The name of the band is "Temple of Mercy" - probably not the brightest idea for a name but the show itself was pretty cool. It took place within a harbour fest in Elmshorn/near Hamburg.

Is it just me or does the singer of ToM look a bit like a certain controversial ex-member of the Girls ??
Hehe, someone commented that to one of the clips as well

I have only seen Marian covered by Scooter and didnt like it. (shocking springs to mind)
Does anyone know of a good Sisters cover?
or a really bad one
You can't be serious.
I just youtubed it, why why why I could have lived my entire life not knowing this.
...not that far^^
That scooter dude already tried to do electro/new wave music back in the 80's (just search for "celebrate the nun" - it's always good for a laugh). Still I was surprised he picked "Marian" for a cover - since it's not really that well known.

Which, it turns out, is not half-bad. Better than most, not that it's hard to be better than most TSOM covers. Nowhere near as good as that version of Jolene, though.

The ladies are definitely the best part--not in a sexist way, but in that they're the most competent members of the band.kafka wrote:Holy crap, that Temple of Mercy is terrible...
Sisters bass lines need a pick. Period. And the singer is simply bad.

As regards The Unwoman offering
I wasn't overly keen on the voice but I thought the backing noise was rather good

The Garden Of Delight: Bury Me Deep
Exactly at 11:00 PM it was time. At once all the lights in the hall switched off and fog drew out over the stage decorated with black flags and one could suspect the silhouettes of the musicians. The audience welcomed enthusiastically ''The Garden of Delight'' and it was obvious that in the meantime they have acquired quite a huge municipality of fans. The appearance of the black dressed musicians and the determined light effects did their part to construct a phenomical general view with a nearly divine condensity. A cold and monotonic drum machine rumbles through the hall, singer Artaud winded around his microphone like a snake around its victim. Adrian Hates stressed with his sharp bass playing and Th.O`Connell kept control over the happening on stage with his playful guitar licks...
Adrian Hates from Diary of Dreams played the bass?
