Cynic's "Re-Traced" and the new "Kindly Bent To Free Us" have arrived on vinyl!
Man, what a record and that artwork!
Progrock/metal with that spacey edge, so sublime! And they come to the Belgian Graspop fest in the summer! )

Indeed, tho Cynic is more on the metal-y side of the spectrum, where Tool were neve really metal-heavy, only rock-heavyHom_Corleone wrote:It's certainly listenable. Reminds me a bit of Tool actually.Izzy HaveMercy wrote:Judge for yourselfHom_Corleone wrote:Great artwork Iz.

In the early days Cynic dropped a bomb in metal-land through their debut 'Focus', combining technical death metal with jazz influence and a vocoder for the main vocals. Totally unheard of, I loved it from the first note!
