BBC lump Sisters in with bizarre 80s scene shock

THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.

"Classic performances". My money is still on TOTP ("This Corrosion", probably) or OGWT. And one hour of music out of the many devoted to architecture and literature. Not a lot after a thirty year silence, but then we're not exactly unfamiliar with this kind of wait/expectation/disappointment scenarios, are we.

That's a tad disappointing

Normally they have a prog explaining the movement eg "Synth Britannia" before you get the one hour's worth of BBC clips.
Well you must know something

Two page feature in today's Times (Art's section) on all things Gothic ahead of the BBC thing....

Film, Music, Books,

all the usual suspects from Lovecraft thru to Siouxsie - bot not a mention of the Girls or Von!

Happy Days,

Insert your own interpretation of a DO WANT smiley.
Although it occurred to me that this would be something ARTE would do... and apparently have done, according to Google, in 2003 :(

Some very good close-ups of that ultimate rarity, Pat actually strumming her bass. Not that it was plugged in, of course.

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"
