Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

I created an account here just to ask, where on earth did you get a copy of 1000 Books?

I found out about this album a few days ago, and as far as I can tell, it's literally not available anywhere. It' s not on any streaming or download services, there's no copies for sale on Discogs, eBay, Amazon or anywhere else, it's not even mentioned on shriekback.com. It's bizarre. I've never seen a recently released album that's just straight up isn't available anywhere.

Hello @X2000 & welcome to Heartland.
I believe the album was crowdfunded & that those who pledged cash got the album ahead of the release in January
Here's a short video about it. :)

That would explain alot. Discogs lists the release date as December 3rd 2021.

Yep, exactly right. I just received the physical CD today, along with a signed book of selected lyrics with commentary. I am not sure of the exact official release date, but I'm sure it is soon.

A hundred years of blood
Crimson
The ribbon tightens round my throat
I open my mouth
And my head bursts open
A sound like a tiger thrashing in the water
Thrashing in the water
Over and over
We die one after the other
Over and over
We die one after the other
One after the other
One after the other
One after the other
One after the other
It feels like a hundred years
Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

How is it?
I remember the early sessions that were on AM radio & so they were all hissy & muffled.
Looking forward to a clean version
