RIP Roger Moore

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Some of the nonsense contained herein may be very loosely related to The Sisters of Mercy, but I wouldn't bet your PayPal account on it. In keeping with the internet's general theme nothing written here should be taken as Gospel: over three quarters of it is utter gibberish, and most of the forum's denizens haven't spoken to another human being face-to-face for decades. Don't worry your pretty little heads about it. Above all else, remember this: You don't have to stay forever. I will understand.

Just to pile onto an already bad day

Farewell Sir Roger.

My old friends told me some stories about him in Heswall (on the Wirral) today, all good and innocent btw, so that is two Bond's that have a connection with a little town that I know too well
....if I have to explain, then you'll never understand....

Well I was handsome and I was strong
And I knew the words to every song.
"Did my singing please you?"
"No! The words you sang were wrong!"

This just sucks, but "at least" he was 89 and had had (one hopes) a rich and full life. He was "my" Bond, because I grew up with his silly/hokey/sarcastic version of the ever-suave spy (vs. Connery et al). He was one of my first (juvenile) crushes, too, haha! Yikes.  :urff: *Sigh* :(
I left my heart in Ballycastle...
