Since it's resurrected and I'm new ... I got into The Sisters at school around 1986. Anyone from Batley Grammar around that period? Danny? Norman? Dan? I was too late for Wake, but saw them at Wembley in 1990. Crap! It took a while for 'Vision Thing' to float my boat, but 'Floodland' and 'FALAA' did...

It is very comprehensive and a really useful resource. When you do ... let me know ... I'll have another look through. What is the state of your 12" singles? Do they have spines?

... it does provide evidence that for This Corrison at least there was no time lag between the availability of the spine / non spine selvees as they were in the shop at the same time.. Now that is an interesting nugget. I have it in the back of my mind I sourced both the spine and non-spine version...

I first saw sisters in 93 (im sure it was 93?) , At crystal palace with DM. I last saw sisters wednesday 16th feb 2011. I saw them inbetween too, sometimes ! enjoy Getting into the band after the Wake gig, I first saw them at Wembley Arena and hated it! Was that 1990 or 1991? Anyway, every time aft...

This is curious ... all the details for the UK originals check out for the spineless copies of 'Alice' and 'Temple of Love' - no barcode or serial number on the reverse of the sleeve and identical in every way to the version with the spine down to run off messages, logo on the A side and details on ...

I'm finding this link really useful: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Sisters+Of+Mercy%2C+The That's a neat tip about the spined versions being the initial releases ... so, I have the early stuff with spines excluding 'Walk Away' and 'No Time to Cry' (although, I've just snapped up a 'Walk Away' with s...

I think I have found an answer here from Nic : http://www.myheartland.co.uk/viewtopic.php?p=286980#286980 He lists 'Alice' as having a French issue (which I am certain I have read that the "Made in England" is a red-herring ... this was a French issue) and 'Temple of Love' as having a Dutc...

Early 12" releases with and without spines

Guys ... 'nuther question having just looked through my record collection  ... a couple of my 12" releases of the earlier stuff - Alice and Temple of Love have releases with both a non-spined cover and one with a printed spine. I guess I collected them both because of this. Did the others...

Hi ... Dominion Boxed Cassette

Hi guys - I joined the forum about 18 months ago after something or other re-awoke my interest in The Sisters of Mercy but didn't pop in to say, "Hi!". I've been into the Sisters since the mid-80s, shortly after the release of 'This Corrosion'. I had the great pleasure of seeing the band t...

'nuther lurker ... we were there last night after getting put on the guest list by a pal at work, having only found out about it the day before! First time since 'Smoke & Mirrors' at Blank Canvas (was that 2003?), 'Off the Street' previous to that. I was not disappointed :von: I saw the blue ber...
