THE place for your Sisters-related comments, questions and snippets of Sisters information. For those who do not know, The Sisters of Mercy are a rock'n'roll band. And a pop band. And an industrial groove machine. Or so they say. They make records. Lots of records, apparently. But not in your galaxy. They play concerts. Lots of concerts, actually. But you still cannot see them. So what's it all about, Alfie? This is one of the few tightly-moderated forums on Heartland, so please keep on-topic. All off-topic posts will either be moved or deleted. Chairman Bux is the editor and the editor's decision is final. Danke.
Err.. this is probably really out of date but for what it's worth, I've got a recording of WH's comments from the gig in question which was in Bochum on 8th November 2008 after playing Wake.
This is what he said... admittedly slightly tipsy.
"Thank you.
I don't know if you know but that song was written for Andrew Eldritch...
And you know it's a question I've been asked a lot recently...is would I get back with Andrew...'cos now the m*****n is no more...and the Sisters are crap...[crowd jeers] come on! - they're crap! [more jeers]
I think Andrew needs me more than I need him... but you know what? if he called me tomorrow I'd go back.."
I personally would like it a lot. Certainly would buy a ticket. I like the Sister nowadays a lot but still prefer the 84-85's era. I think it will be big fun just for one time....

A Hussey-Eldo reunion would be... sad. Pathetic. All about the filthy lucre. Lousy.
Seriously, it's a step down for Von.
Let me add, as HL's resident libertarian capitalist, there's nothing wrong with filthy lucre.

The most successful tyranny is not the one that uses force to assure uniformity but the one that removes the awareness of other possibilities, that makes it seem inconceivable that other ways are viable, that removes the sense that there is an outside.
Why would Von need Wayne anyway, he's got Chris and Ben.
No joking, the two boys have been the best thing that's happed to the band in a long long long time. Why would anyone want to step back to the bad old days? Forward, I say!
If I told them once, I told them a hundred times to put 'Spinal Tap' first and 'Puppet Show' last.
